Once again, the Agency doubled it's space for future growth. Joslin-Landis now occupies all 5,000 sq. ft. of the former LaGrande Movie Theatre located at 237-239 Broad Street in downtown Conneaut. This is the same building that survived one of the worst fires in Conneaut's history. In November of 1953 during a driving rainstorm, the Elks Club located adjacent to the LaGrande Movie Theatre caught fire and the subsequent fire destroyed much of the entire block. Only the direction of the fierce winds that ravaged most of the block, pushed the flames away from the LaGrande structure and saved it from destruction.
